On a different topic now, I really miss STN…:( That was honestly the best STN trip ever! Which is why I really want to be able to go to STN next year with Kauai High! I just want to know how to qualify for it… Meaning, how do we get to go to STN, because someone told me you had to take extra classes in order to be able to go to STN with Kauai High… I really wish I could tag along with CKTV like how Sydney did because that would be super fun! You would get to hang out longer than just the competitions… If we do get to do that, then that would just be awesome! I hope Kauai High goes to STN next year though! And I hope that I can go (if I get into the class)!
Hey, so remember how we were all given a scavenger hunt list for the STN trip? Well, I was wondering what we are supposed to do with all the stuff we got for the hunt… I was just looking through my things the other day, and I found all of the scavenger hunt items but I didn't know what to do with them… I was wondering if we were still gonna continue with that to see who was the winner and everything. We never really talked about it…It just kinda, went away… That was a fun activity for us though, so at least we got something out of it, but I'm not too sure if I should throw away all the things we got or not because no one said anything about it. If we are still going to select a winner, I'd like to know when and how please… :) I think it's funny because my team was like, really into the scavenger hunt haha, and then when the trip was over, nothing was ever done!XD Oh well!

Okay, so recently, my Youth group filmed a monster movie called Key of Doom. We all went to a movie premiere and dresses nice and others came to watch the movie as well! I had a great time, and it was such a great experience! Some friends and I were thinking that it would just be super cool if the Hawaii Media schools got together and filmed one big movie! How awesome would that be? Just think about it! We would all have so much fun filming and producing the video! The students would act, edit, film, write, and just contribute to the video! This would also be a great bonding thing for all of us! I guess this could go for any school really…It could even just be our class! I know it's already fourth quarter, but I just thought it would be a great idea for us to do! Then, when we are finished, we could have this big movie premiere night and everyone could dress nice and there would be popcorn and drinks and a red carpet….! I know, I know, this is big, but don't you know how awesome this would be? Think about it… After going to the monster movie premiere, I had so much fun that I would LOVE to do it again!
Alright, so our deadline for our scripts has just passed, and thank goodness, we made it on time! The only thing I'm worried about is setting a date where everyone is able to film on the same day! Their schedules are all different, so it's really hard to set a final date! I really hope that we can get this done on time, and that we don't fall behind! I want this project to turn out really good since it's our final one!
Recently, (today) I helped Kelli and Kaycee out with their short film! I like how they are doing a sequel to The Call That Changed It All. It was a long day, but we had a lot of fun! We actually got quite a bit accomplished! I can't wait to see what the final product is! When we were filming the scenes, we all had Nerf guns, and everyone was playing with them, so now I really want a Nerf gun haha. I think just being there with everyone else was really fun, and we all got along well, and there were no arguments at all, so I thought that was pretty awesome! I hope that their project goes well, along with ours and every Alright, so STN happened…. it was REALLY fun! I can't wait to go back again! I really hope that our Kauai High Media class gets to go and do all that fun stuff that CKTV does! There were LOTS of memories made on this trip, and I am sooooo glad that I went! I took a lot of pictures…so much that I ran out of space on my phone! I've gotten so close to many of the kids in our class, and it's just been really fun! I didn't upload any of my photos into the computer at school because I was kind of confused on what we had to do haha… I actually can't wait to see Ben's recap video! I think all of my favorite parts of this trip were when I was with other students of the class, like socializing and getting to them all. Like, at Universal, Islands of Adventure, we kept on riding this one water ride that has a drop! We went on so many times in a row! It was like our favorite ride there haha! Also, on this other water ride, where there were like eight seats in this tube raft thing, it was my mom, Leanna, Isabel, Kaycee, Justice, and I. then across from us were these strangers, and I don't know if I told you this story before, but it was this lady's birthday that day, and so she was really excited about this ride… When you start going, it's all smooth and stuff, so she was like, "Oh, it's not so bad! It's just a smooth clam ride!" And then there was this big drop, and she was going backwards down it, and she started SCREAMING her head off! I couldn't stop laughing haha… This huge wave came and drenched her! XD She was like really shocked… I told her, "Oh it's okay… it's just a smooth clam ride! :D" Then her and all of her friends just start bus laughing… It was really funny haha. I would love to share with you all of my stories sometime, but not now, because there's a LOT! STN was seriously the best thing that happened all year!
Guess what? there are only nine days until Florida!!! I am so excited, I can't wait to go! Who can? I couldn't believe that there were only nine days left! it is so soon! before you know it, we will be on the plane with 10 hours to go! it's gonna be a long ride! I must remember to get all my homework done, so I can enjoy the trip, without worries! Oo, we should download movies to watch on our iPads!! This is going to be my first time in Florida, and I am just exhilarated! My heart is pumping really hard right now, just writing this! With everyday that goes by, we are getting closer and closer! I just hope to have a safe flight, and a great time! It's just too bad that we aren't having the STN party again! I would've loved to go again! We are staying for like, fourteen days right? I'm sure we have a LOT planned for us! i especially can't wait for laser tag and Disney World!!!! i'm not sure where else we are going, but I know it will be a blast! We were selling Girl Scout cookies on Friday, and we met a few guys from Orlando, Florida, and he said there is so much to see! We talked for a while, (the two guys and Marlena and I). He was explaining to us what it was like1 My pen pal said that the weather is off and on, like in then night, it gets chilly, and in the day, it can get super hot! So, be sure to pack shorts and pants, just in case! I am seriously enlivened! This trip will be sensational!
So we recorded our pen pal hellos for Castaic Middle! It was really fun filming it with Ysabel! My pen pal is Dylynn Abbey. She is really pretty! The video for Castaic was pretty cool, and I hope ours turns out good as well! I like the idea of using the Photo Booth for the video, and even the iPad was pretty cool! Our message was brief, and I think we did a good job... Anyway, I really hope our video turns out to be good! I can't wait to see everyone again in Florida!! I also can't wait to meet the new students in Castaic! Florida is so close from today! I can't wait to get to hang out with everyone, because it will be like a reunion!! I can't believe we will be going to Disney World for THREE DAYS!!! I am excited to know who our Florida pen pals are! We might have more than one since there are so many people in that class, so I am really excited! Then we will all have so many new friends! Did I also mention that I can't wait till we play that huge game of Laser Tag??? I LOVE laser tag and I cannot believe we get to play a huge game of it! It is going to be super fun! I hope we get to do a lot of things with all of our pen pals! Florida is only 16 days from now!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!
I have a feeling that this trip is going to be the best STN trip for me! Mostly because I have never been to Florida before! I really hope we get to go all over the place and do any different activities!! I can't So, I JUST finished watching this Christian movie called Closer To God. Now, remember how that boy Kody came to talk to our class and how he was saying that it doesn't matter what kind of special things you have to create this film as long as you have a good story? Well, this movie is a very good example on that! Closer To God didn't have the best sequencing or shots in their film. For instance, their shots were really long lengthwise in time, and there were a lot of profile shots during the emotion scenes, without much, if any, sequencing. BUT, you know what? The story was amazing, and me being a person who loves Christian movies, I have to say, it was a really amazing story! Just because the movie had no interesting shots, it didn't even affect the story one bit, because it was so strong. My sister said it was the first movie to make her cry! Not for me because I can get pretty emotional… but, the point is, that the story was so good, that even if you listened to it, you would be totally into it! I am not even kidding. Part of the reason is because they had good actors, but I think overall, the story was the best. There were really dramatic parts in this, that always kept you on the edge of your seat. This story was so touching, and even I think that this movie can bring you to coming closer to God, because it will make you realize a LOT of things. You really need to watch this movie, and you will know what I mean by the story being so powerful that it drags away the attention from how bad the filming is. This is legitimately one of the best movies I've watched this year, and there's a lot!
Honestly, this practice was worse for my team. None of us had a REALLY good idea for this topic, which was The Rewind Button. I don't know, it was just, difficult. I wasn't proud of my video. We had an idea, but then when we went out to film, they wanted to change our idea. So, we still had to spend time outside thinking of what we were gonna do. When we came up with a different idea, we didn't have a strong issue for our reason to go back in time and fix. Also, our beginning had no audio! Taylynn said that she could hear the sound, and that it was fine, but I guess it never came out! We just barely made the deadline!! For our second practice, I think we did better last time than we did this time. Honestly. I think it was because I was just so tired, but I really don't know… I hope that next practice, we are able to think of a great idea, because in my honest opinion, this idea wasn't so great. I am starting to think that this competition isn't as easy as I thought it would be. The music video category was actually easier last year… But, we're just gonna have to keep on trying until we get it right. I think I would feb ether off making a horror movie or something haha. Maybe next time, we could bring a change of clothes in case we need to show two different time periods or something. Or maybe bring some make up? Are we allowed to do that? I hope so, because then maybe that might help us tell a story.
Oh. My. Gosh. I cannot think of one good PSA idea!! I talked to Mr. m and told him all of my ideas and he didn't REALLYYYYY like any of my ideas!!! I mean, there was this one idea that he was kind of interested in, which was my parody of "What Does The Fox Say". he still thought that one was going to be difficult and was unsure of it. So, I'm stuck here trying to brainstorm PSA ideas… I mean, I could do another parody, which I wrote last year and never got to use it for my PSA. It's like, this year I am just out of creativity!! There are already so many PSA's out there that every time I try to come up with an idea it's just like, oh, someone already did that! As the years go by, more and more ideas are being taken so it's really a hard thing! If I could just come up with one really good idea, then I will be blessed! Relieved! And to make matters worse, the script deadline is coming up real soon!!! I am really going through a PSA struggle!! I AM NOT EVEN SET ON AN IDEA YET! This is cray I tell you, cray. I can't stand to think that the deadline is coming up and I don't even have an idea, let alone a topic! The struggle is real… I can't. I just can't. I thought I was gonna have a whole bunch of great ideas, but then I find out that I don't even have one good one. To put even more pressure, I'm supposed to enter my PSA into a contest!! Oh good gosh…… but don't get me wrong, I was brainstorming up in California over break everyday when I had the time, and I came up with a fees ideas, but none of them I guess appealed to Mr. M! I hope - I PRAY that I can find a good topic TONIGHT!
Hey guys! So you all remember the guest speakers that cam to our class right? Kody and Arthur? Well, anyways, I really paid attention to what thy were saying. It was really inspiring to see that a guy, who's only 21, was making films and all that stuff already!! He even got asked to go to a huge film festival on the Mainland!!!! How crazy is that? I would so love to do that! I learned that it's not about what kind of equipment you have, but it's about how good you can tell your story. I didn't know what kind of camera he was talking about, when he mentioned it being small, and that's the one he used to shoot in the film festival. I was confused on that… but the message came through.
I was excited when Arthur mentioned that there would be a whole bunch of films made on our home Island!!! And wow, they're even making a Jurassic World!!!! Anyway, I can't wait to see what kind of films will be owing out! When I watch them, I can be like, "Oo! I've been there!" or "OMG, I know where that is!" etc. I remember him telling me that it would be around five months from now that they're gonna start filming. I can't wait!! Who knows, maybe some of us might be in one of the films! You never know!! It was pretty cool when they were both walking around and talking to all of us. Like, they both talked to me, Lilly, Marlena and haven about PSA's and then later about Hiki No. It was pretty cool to talk to people in the film industry/ business. I felt all professional! I look forward to seeing more guest speakers and getting the opportunity to talk to them as well! |
